The 2nd of October 2026 sees Rachel Taylor-Beales releasing Lucky Bag- Reboots and Rarities: a digital album of alternative mixes and previously unreleased tracks, all recorded at Hushland Studio between 2011 and 2024. While some tracks reveal new musical arrangements to more familiar songs, others are completely new offerings.
The album features Rachel’s bedrock vocal harmonies and multi-instrumentation supported by textured contributions from her long-term creative collaborator and husband Bill Taylor-Beales. The songs are further enhanced by guest appearances from Rachel’s eclectic collective of bandmates as she is joined by backing singer Angharad Evans, guitarist Dylan Fowler, bassist Paul Gray, cellist Rosy Robinson, violinist Lucy Rivers, with additional vocals from Stacey Blythe, and occasional cajon beats from Shane Beales. The end result is a sonic cornucopia of dynamic soundscape. This Lucky Bag collection will be the first in a series of mixed bags, with more rarities to follow.
Alongside the Lucky Bag- Reboots and Rarities digital album Rachel is making a set of limited-edition merch Lucky Bags filled with artworks and ephemera, including handmade zine style liner notes, back stories, and a creative prompts concertina sketchbook with an invitation for folks to respond creatively to the songs in this collection.

This new collection of poetry and music combines personal reflections and political rants with odes and witty observations, inviting us to contemplate our place in the cosmos and the impact that we make individually and collectively during our brief time here.
Recorded live in the bottom left-hand corner of Wales, at Rachel and Bill Taylor-Beales Hushland studio, this EP captures the magic of Robin’s crafted poetry alongside Rachel’s improvised melodies as they responded to each other in real time. To enhance the energy of these live takes, Rachel added further melodic textures embedding Robin’s rich palette of spoken word within the soundscapes.
Robin and Rachel are currently planning more themed musical-poetry collections, collaborations and tour dates. Watch this space.
