Following on from their recent poetry and music albums as Normally Weird Associates, Robin and Rachel invite you to join them for an evening of creative camaraderie melding all manner of music and musings as they explore access all areas to the human condition.
Robin Ince is a multi-award-winning author-comedian-broadcaster-performer whose appetite for enlightenment compels him to create joyful and curious things. He is also the author of many books including Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal a book about neurodivergence, and Bibliomaniac about his love of books, as well as two volumes of poetry, the most recent one being Let the Quiet Ones Rise. Robin co-created and spent fifteen years as a presenter of The Infinite Monkey Cage one of the BBC’s most successful radio shows. His brand-new podcast Liberation Conversations is a series featuring beautifully progressive voices who want a world of freedom for everyone.
Rachel Taylor-Beales is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music sits at the crossroads of folk, roots, blues, and jazz. Described by BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris as ‘highly recommended’, Rachel’s unique brand of beautiful melancholy advocates for issues of social justice and ecology, often drawing inspiration from folklore tales alongside her own life. Alongside her musical career, Rachel can also be found theatre-making, painting and collaborating with other creative folks. Her gig-theatre show, Stone's Throw, Lament of the Selkie, was nominated by Wales Arts Review as a 'best show' of 2020. In recent months Rachel’s new drama-comedy Bag for Life was optioned for full production and tour by Fluellen Theatre Company.
